X2 has unveiled the iTablet

Make way for the real iTablet! No folks, this is not the Apple iPad. The much rumored name is now actually associated with a British organization. The UK based company X2 has named its latest Tablet PC, the iTablet. As we may all know, “iTablet” was one of the rumored names for Apple iPad. Releasing this tablet with the same name, X2 might have played a trick to gain undue popularity. However, it’s Apple’s time to turn some heat on by taking a legal action.

As per X2 the Tablet PC has great specs and even outsmarts the Apple iPad in some aspects. It will have multitasking features to run two or more applications and would also play Flash videos. Unlike iPad, iTablet will feature a 1.3 Mega-Pix web cam and built-in stereo speakers. The device will equip a 1.6GHz Intel Chip with Microsoft Windows 7 computing environment, although, Windows XP and Linux will be available as options. The tablet PC will ensure consistent connectivity with built-in BlueTooth and optional 3G, GSM and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. Its 2GB system memory will deliver faster responses and 250GB hard drive will give vast storage capacity.

The iTablet will integrate a widescreen display either a 10.2-inch TFT or 12.1-inch XGA screen. Other features may include an HDMI connection and up to three USB 2.0 ports. The X2 iTablet PC will be available for purchase around April, in assorted blue, black, grey, pink, red, white and yellow shades. There is no word on pricing yet.
